New in Estuary News: Saving water under the East Bay

I guest edited the new issue of Estuary News magazine and also contributed a couple pieces.  

Did you know there's a large aquifer under the urban East Bay, from Richmond to Hayward, that has been tapped for drinking and irrigation water since the early 1900s? I wrote about efforts to manage its use sustainably in the decades to come. 

I also helped cover the 2021 State of the Estuary conference and contributed a short piece on invasive species to the larger roundup.
