My first KQED Perspective: A Change in Seasons
Challenged by a friend's suggestion, and inspired by local naturalist Michael Ellis' model, in January I decided to reach out to KQED radio about recording a Perspective. I wrote a short piece, submitted it, got the green light, recorded it from home with the help of a KQED staffer, and bam! Two days later it was on the air. For those keeping track, this is the third Bay Area broadcast radio station I've now been on: KSCU 103.3 FM Santa Clara, KPCA 103.3 FM Petaluma, and KQED 88.5 FM San Francisco. I also volunteered for (but didn't get on the air at) KALX 90.7 FM Berkeley.
