Psychedelic Research Targets Systemic Inflammation
My latest for Project CBD is another piece on psychedelic science. Here are the first two sentences to give you a taste:
"Medical scientists have caught on to the fact that cannabinoids help fight unwanted inflammation that contributes to many diseases. But the next anti-inflammatory wonder drug could come from an even more unexpected source: psychedelics.
A team at the University of New Orleans is now working to refine one of the most potent anti-inflammatory molecules known to science, a synthetic psychedelic similar to LSD called DOI (2,5-Dimethoxy-4-iodoamphetamine)."
